Common questions
- The app isn't detecting my chords. Make sure microphone access is enabled in Settings → Guitar Trainer → Microphone, and play close to the phone in a reasonably quiet room.
- Do I need a special guitar or cable? No. Any acoustic or electric guitar works — the app listens through your phone's microphone.
- Does it work offline? Yes. Everything runs on your device; no internet connection is needed.
Privacy Policy

We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Ever. Guitar Trainer has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and makes no network connections.
Microphone
The app uses your device's microphone for one purpose only: to listen to the notes and chords you play in real time so it can react to them during practice and games.
- Audio is processed entirely on your device, in real time.
- Audio is never recorded, saved, or uploaded anywhere.
- No audio ever leaves your device.
You can revoke microphone access at any time in Settings → Guitar Trainer → Microphone.
Data storage
The only thing the app saves is your high scores, stored locally on your device. This never leaves your phone and is removed if you delete the app.
Children's privacy
The app collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.
Third parties
There are none. The app contains no third-party SDKs, analytics, trackers, or advertising networks.
